Description: Listed by Berry Recruitment - Berry Recruitment has registered an exceptional opportunity that has just arisen to join our client based in the Wallingford area as a Temporary Marketing Executive to start immediately for 10 months maternity cover contract.

Role: Temporary Marketing Executive
Location: Wallingford
Hours: 09:00 - 17:30
Salary: £20,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

Purpose of the job:
Working within a small and busy marketing team, the Marketing Executive will provide support to other members of the student marketing team, as well as having their own independent responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be well organised and flexible, as well as having a track record in the youth/student market and familiarity with the graduate recruitment industry. This role is an excellent opportunity to further your marketing skills, working across the company's product range.

Key Responsibilities:
* Recruiting and assisting the management of the seasonal Events Promotions Executives (September - December)
* Booking and managing the careers fairs
* Formulating and managing a promotional event schedule, including logistics & merchandising
* Inputting into student brand designs
* Reporting of student registrations achieved from promotional events to senior management
* Managing promotional event budget to ensure maximum return on investment

Campaigns:
* Contacting schools to promote careers and our services
* Contacting universities to promote jobs and our services
* Developing databases of contacts (school staff, university contacts & student societies)
* Creating campaign ideas, as well as coming up with incentives and suggesting ideas for design
* Purchasing incentives and sending out to winners

Partnerships:
* Manage all administrative tasks relating to partnerships with other student facing organisations
* Provide regular reports on the benefit derived from partnerships

Research and development:
* Research branding opportunities on campus and with student focused organisations
* Produce and maintain a campus information portfolio highlighting the activity conducted on a range of campuses across the country
* Ad hoc support to other members of the team

Candidate Specification:
* Highly organised, able to multitask and manage a large workload
* Confident and persuasive communicator able to present our products and company both in person and over the phone
* Target driven to achieve personal and team targets
* A creative thinker who understands our market
* Awareness of marketing costs and return on investment
* Able to plan and run own projects and campaigns with minimal support
* Able to provide detailed reports to demonstrate KPIs with basic analysis
* Good copy writing and proofing skills
* Computer literate: experience of using databases, email, internet and MS Office packages
* Driving licence
* Good knowledge of marketing to the youth market
* Good knowledge of the principles of database marketing, including user profile and segmentation
* Good understanding of the markets the business operates in, as well as knowledge of competitors
* Strong understanding of the school and university sectors in the UK

Desirable Requirements:
* Previous experience in a marketing-related role
* Experience of marketing communications across multiple channels

* 25 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays
* Automatically enrolled onto Company pension scheme after 3 month qualifying period, with employee contributing 3% of monthly salary and business will match employee contributions up to a maximum of 5% of monthly salary
