The Company

An established provider of high-quality beverage solutions sold to clients across HoReCa, Care and Leisure sectors is looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager. The company culture is forward-thinking and supportive, staff are provided with up-to-date technology to support them in their role and enjoy a strong team environment and supportive management input. As such the business has an excellent track record of low staff turnover and high job satisfaction. Passion for the Hospitality and Catering sector plays a key role in the success of the business and they are prominent members of a number of industry trade associations and groups.

The Role

The Regional Sales Manager is a key role for the business covering a substantial territory which extends as far south as Birmingham, includes North Wales and up as far as the border with Scotland. There are a number of densely populated areas on the territory and so there are some excellent opportunities to grow sales and earn commission.

The goal is to present and sell the range of beverage solutions to clients across a breadth of sectors including hotels, leisure, contract catering, care and many more.

Tasks include (but are not limited to):

  • Combination of managing existing business and developing new business opportunities;
  • The Regional Sales Manager should arrange and attend 5 sales appointments a day;
  • Present the range of products and solutions to the clients, drawing on the various USP’s that the business can offer over competing product offerings;
  • Call on existing customers and support site visits to National Account and Group clients as required by the National Accounts team;
  • Identify new business leads and follow these up with a view to securing an appointment, you will also be supported with new business leads generated from incoming calls to the sales office;
  • Build positive professional relationships ensuring that you follow up initial calls with regular contact and support.

The person

We are looking for a driven, passionate Regional Sales Manager who enjoys winning deals and building relationships. You could be an experienced sales professional, or early on in field sales and looking for your next step. Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • A proven grounding in field sales with good diary management skills and the flexibility to cover a large sales territory;
  • Good IT skills and early adoption of technology;
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and competently with an iPhone and iPad;
  • Prior knowledge and understanding of the food service market and the catering industry in general. Specific experience of selling to the contract caterers and hotels would be an advantage;
  • Experience of selling to Chefs, Catering Managers, Food & Beverage Managers and Operational Managers is essential;
  • A background from the drinks industry would be an advantage but is not essential;
  • Flexibility to cover a large area and stay away as required -you will be responsible for managing your own diary and we anticipate that you may be away from home 2-3 nights per month.
