As part of the New Product Development department you will be responsible for the collation of data in order to build new costs for products and on-going maintenance of the system with regards to costs and prices.
Essential Job Functions/ Responsibilities
Work with and forge solid relationships with a variety of departments, including Commercial Sales, New Product Development, New Product Introduction, Logistics, Operations and Finance to ensure compliance with Company strategy and customer expectation.
Raise Sales/Purchase orders.
Complete regular audits of the system to ensure pricing is up-to-date and system maintained.
Build cost for finished goods or tender using customer specific templates
Analyse Formulation and component breakdown and material prices
Analyse business proposals and supporting documentation available to ensure accuracy of quotation
Analyse, compare and interpret detailed briefs/tender documents and other documents in order to understand all the aspects required to be included in the cost.
Maintain agreed business cost models across all customers in a timely manner and in line with agreed commercial updates
Review cost sheets and serve as a key member of NPD project review team.
Cross check Purchase Orders against receipt of stock.
High standard of general education, in particular in relation to Mathematics.
Experience in a manufacturing or sales environment
Basic understanding of MRP processes
Data entry experience
Attention to detail
Good reporting and analytical skills.
Must be able to cope with working across a range of areas in a busy and fast paced environment.
Must be competent in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint
A permanent contract with a 6-month probation
37 hours per week (08:00-16:30 M-Th. 08:00-13:00 Fri.)
Salary: £27-£29,000 per year
5 weeks of holidays - 3% employer pension contribution
