Our client is a leading manufacturer of exotic metals to a variety of industries including the aerospace sector. They are in need of a HSE Manager to join them on a full-time permanent basis being responsible for circa 400 employees’ over 4 sites which are all within the same area.
Specialist knowledge, education and training required:
Minimum: NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and IEMA Certificate
Desirable: Environmental Diploma
Health and Safety management / OHSAS18001
Health and Safety legal requirements.
Environmental Management / ISO14001
Environmental Aspects and Impacts
Ensuring the Plant is compliant with current health and safety legislation, approved codes of practice and guidance in relation to employment and service provision
Acting as the Plant’s lead competent person for health and safety
Managing and implementing risk reduction initiatives
To work with managers to establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working practices across the organisation
Management of Contracted services for Waste and Environmental Services
Management of UK Operational, compliance and HSE training
To provide direct management and leadership of the UK Operations Training Officer
