Food & Beverage Service

  • To ensure the highest standards of food and beverage production, cooking and presentation at all times and in accordance with Accent and Client expectations.
  • Create innovative and exciting ranges of healthy menus which appeal to the appropriate audiences whilst staying within budgetary guidelines.
  • Purchase food items in accordance with company purchasing procedures and policy.

Customer Relations

  • Maintain a friendly, professional attitude to customers at all times.
  • Actively listen to and respond to customer feedback to continually improve the service.

The Unit Team

  • Ensure all members of staff are competent in producing all the menu items as required and train where needed.
  • Assist in the selection, induction and ongoing training of kitchen staff.

Hygiene

  • Ensure all areas of the unit for which you are responsible are maintained at the highest level of hygiene, tidiness and general appearance, including equipment and all facilities.
  • Ensure everyone handling food is aware of the standards of hygiene required by law and the company and ensure correct procedures for food handling and storage are followed.
  • In conjunction with the Catering/Chef Manager, ensure all items of equipment and utensils are scrupulously maintained, cleaning rotas are implemented, and standards are monitored.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure safe working practices are carried out, and action taken to correct any faults that could result in an accident.
  • In conjunction with the Catering/Chef Manager, ensure all members of staff are aware of the COSHH regulations and abide by them at all times.
  • Assist the Catering/Chef Manager in ensuring all purchases are accounted for together and that accurate records of sales and/or number of meals are kept.
  • Assist the Catering/Chef Manager in taking and recording an accurate stock checks every month end or as required.
  • If requested, accurately cost out ingredients for daily menus and other menus as required.

Administration

  • Assist the Catering/Chef Manager in ensuring all purchases are accounted for together and that accurate records of sales and/or number of meals are kept.
  • Assist the Catering/Chef Manager in taking and recording an accurate stock checks every month end or as required.
  • If requested, accurately cost out ingredients for daily menus and other menus as required.

Other Duties

  • Carry out any other reasonable requests from your line manager or other representative of Accent Catering Services Ltd.

Standards of Performance will be judged by

  • An imaginative selection of menu items
  • Food that is highly regarded by customers and the client, responding to customer needs
  • The quality of food and services in the unit
  • The cleanliness of the catering area and adherence to a comprehensive cleaning schedule
  • Successfully building relationships with colleagues, customers and the client
  • The skill, care and speed with which duties are performed
  • The control of expenditure against budget
  • The training and development of kitchen staff
  • The smooth running of the operation in the Manager's absence
  • Completion of any other reasonable requests from your line manager
