We’re looking for an enthusiastic team player to join us in a new role supporting vital transport investment across the Anglia region. Based in London working for us but right alongside one of our major clients, Network Rail, we are looking for someone who can deliver excellent support and act as central liaison for a range of communications activities.



This role will provide opportunities to develop and drive content to be used across a range of channels – from internal audiences to local community outreach. Solid project and event planning skills are needed to help support local events, community engagement, and developing and drafting internal and external news stories. The ability to work flexibly across teams is really important, as well good organisation skills to juggle numerous projects at the same time.



You should be able to communicate stories clearly and concisely, across a range of channels to a wide variety of audiences. You will deliver copy that engages our internal colleagues; delivers messages though our eye-catching collateral; and you will be responsible for liaising across teams to make sure our key messages reach the right people. Key Accountabilities



  • An opportunity for a multi-disciplined communications expert to work on a range of communication activities to support the delivery of the Anglia CP6 framework
  • Working as part of both the Network Rail and Murphy’s communications teams to ensure consistent approach and ways of working in line with established procedures and processes
  • Acting as the main point of contact between the project and communication teams
  • Advising and guiding the project leadership on the communications strategy, in regular liaison with Network Rail and Murphy
  • Working with project teams on site to build relationships with communities impacted by our work and identifying opportunities to support local initiatives in line with our values
  • Supporting the Network Rail communications manager to developing internal and external stakeholder plans including communications calendar, key messages, identifying stakeholders, developing methods of engagement
  • In tandem with the Network Rail communications manager, develop and deliver communications materials and content for review and agreement, as agreed with the project leadership and client
  • Proactively gathering information and updating relevant comms channels – including digital - with relevant and up-to-date content, including news stories and case studies to be used for internal and external communication
  • Responsible for the delivery of, but not confined to, the following:


Stakeholder / community engagement



  • Work closely with Network Rail CR team to support any project community outreach
  • Events management including regular team events
  • Planning and delivering  local information / engagement events
  • Develop and plan proactive community giving programme, e.g. volunteering, school engagement, and STEM activities with any communications needs including collating case studies and success stories


PR



  • Work with the NR communications to devise, develop and deliver project content such as photography, video, case studies and other relevant material
  • Liaise with Network Rail / Murphy communication teams and support on PR activities
  • Collating and publish good news stories and case studies, in particular using digital techniques and channels
  • Support incident comms as needed


Internal communications



  • Develop and deliver internal communications plan identifying channels for communications,
  • Managing and deliver regular communications channels including newsletters, events, etc
  • Manage the production of high quality communications materials including the preparation and issue of project newsletters, team briefings, presentations, award submissions and project information sheets
  • Support site and employee engagement/team building events
