Children's Home Manager / Registered Manager

We're seeking a Registered Manager / Children's Home Manager to take up a position managing a residential care service for young people with learning disabilities in Poole. For this Registered Manager role we're looking for somebody who has an excellent knowledge of Ofsted requirements, is passionate about providing quality care for young people and has a wealth of experience in supporting young people with learning disabilities. You'll need to have been a Children's Home Manager / Registered Manager of a children's home previously, or similar. On offer is a competitive salary and range of employee benefits.

The Children's Home Manager Position:

There will be many varying duties that you would be required to undertake as the Registered Manager including, but not limited to

  • Consistently work to within OFSTED guidelines in order to promote a safe environment for all young people, ensuring that care plans are developed
  • Manage and lead the staff team, ensuring that they follow the home's policies and processes
  • Ensure that staff undertake full training and have regular spot checks, supervision and support to enable them to develop in their roles
  • Ensure that a robust recruitment strategy is in place
  • Develop excellent relationships with healthcare professionals involved in the care of children including social workers, doctors, education providers and others.
  • Ensure that the service is compliant with regulatory standards
  • Complete all administration surrounding finances, payroll, expenses etc.
The Successful Candidate

  • We're looking for an experienced Registered Manager with a strong background of working within and managing children's homes and can easily evidence this through 'GOOD' or 'Outstanding' OFSTED reports.
  • You'll have a wealth of experience around supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs .
  • You'll be a strong leader and motivator of staff teams
  • NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care as minimum, Level 5 Diploma would be advantageous
    Excellent knowledge of OFSTED requirements and current legislations
