Butler Rose has been retained exclusively, by ICAEW, to manage the recruitment of a prominent Voluntary Board-level opportunity for FCA Ltd.
FCA Ltd is the corporate Trustee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Staff Pensions Fund and is looking to appoint a Chair to its Board of Directors who will lead the Board in providing critical insights and opinions and drive effective decision making. The Board typically meets four to six times a year.
This voluntary role will involve regular contact with the Pensions Team and the Finance Director to oversee and direct the management of the fund, as well as playing a key part in governance and approval processes.
This essential role on the Board of Directors requires its incumbent to have a comprehensive understanding of current pension legislation, company law and how DB schemes are funded; remain up to date on legislative changes with regards to pensions; and have performed similar Board or Committee roles previously. An essential eligibility criteria is for the incumbent to be an ICAEW member. It is also important that the individual is not involved in ICAEW's financial decision making, nor is a member or a dependant member of the Staff Pension Fund.
This role provides an exciting opportunity for someone who has performed a similar senior level role previously, or for someone who, having performed in a leadership capacity, in a pensions-related role, is looking to use their knowledge to further strengthen their strong professional reputation. The role is unremunerated but expenses incurred as part of the role, will be reimbursed.
