Main Responsibilities

If you think financial services is just about numbers, you couldn’t be more wrong. We currently have internships in our Digital, Products, Marketing and Customer Insights teams, which will allow you to explore a variety of disciplines - many without a single number in sight.While you’re with us you’ll make an active contribution in your own role and see the technical, creative and strategic sides of the business too. You’ll meet mentors, make friends and build a network of professional contacts that could last throughout your career. What will the programme involve?An internship is a great way to find out what you’re good at and what might need more work. And your colleagues will challenge, guide and nurture you on that part of your Skipton journey. You’ll also learn about our values of Trust, Ownership and One Team and what they mean for you, and how you can help us create even more great experiences for our customers. What will the placement involve?Working within our Products Team you will develop an understanding of the product life cycleand assist in delivering mortgage and savings products that match our customer and our business needs. This is a diverse role working with departments across the business to develop price and manage products that deliver our customer and commercial goals. Through building working relationships with other departments you will also have the opportunity to build your knowledge in other specialist areas. The successful candidate will also be involved in analysis of the current market and competitors.

Ideal Candidate

You’ll need to be on a ‘sandwich’ degree from any discipline and available to work at our head office in the historic town of Skipton. We welcome people who are inquisitive and enthusiastic with a little experience of managing workloads and prioritising deadlines. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows what they want and can’t wait to go out and get it – and we’ll be there with you every step of the way.
