Accounts assistant required to join a small friendly team based at a lovely hotel near Bath
This is a long term temporary position, initially to provide maternity cover, with a view to possible future employment / job share.
The client is seeking an experienced accounts assistant , who is hardworking, self motivated and both literate and numerate, .
Whilst not essential, a knowledge of computer based accounting software would be highly beneficial, together with experience of spreadsheets and word processing.
Duties will include:
Processing purchase invoices.
Producing end of month remittance payments.
Posting and allocating payments to purchase ledger.
Reconciling purchase ledger accounts.
Obtaining copy invoices from suppliers.
Post bank receipts to nominal ledgers.
Reconciling sales ledger receipts.
Updating daily credit card reconciliations.
Counting and reconciling weekly cash takings, and preparing for banking.
Providing support and general office duties where required.
Answering the telephone and dealing with queries arising.
Hours to be agreed over 5 days (Monday - Friday).
Free onsite parking.
