An opportunity has arisen within the largest professional employment organisation for contractors and freelancers. Specialties of their Umbrella Accountancy Service include tax, employment, accountancy and legislative compliance. They provide a range of market leading innovative solutions and hold preferred supplier relationships with some of the UK's largest recruitment agencies.


Due to growth we have an opening for an account manager to join the sales team based out of their offices in Cheshire.


Our client turns over more than £300m with multiple office locations and has over 40,000 clients using the service so opportunity for progression and further career prospects is huge.
We will provide the successful candidate with a ramp up period and a very strong performing client base. Alongside in-depth training and development to get you up to speed as quickly as possible.


You should have the ability to generate new business opportunities within an existing base, therefore someone with this skill set is preferred.
The account manager will provide high class relationship management to a portfolio of client agencies and source new business within these whilst building pipeline and closing new joiners.

The Role - Account Manager

  • Develop new relationships in a high performing portfolio of accounts
  • Generate and negotiate new income to an agreed annual target, to increase year on year in the recruitment industry
  • Presenting the company to potential agencies and clients, through direct communication
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation within an already performing portfolio; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close;
  • Hunting for new business in addition to account managing new clients you bring on, proactively nurturing relationships with recruitment agencies by booking meetings to secure new business working alongside the National Sales Manager
  • Develop an excellent understanding of the group product range and use this knowledge to ensure the correct information is conveyed to customers.
  • Proactive understanding of customer's needs and reactive problem solving, document chasing and effective completion of registration processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other departments to ensure an integrated approach to achieving operational and strategic objectives
  • Prioritise tasks, stay calm under pressure and command respect through knowledge of operating processes and customer relationships.



The Ideal Candidate - Account Manager

  • 2 years professional sales
  • Demonstrable track record of securing new business
  • Track record of managing accounts and providing a high level of ongoing customer service to a client base
  • Confident, articulate and not afraid to pick up the phone
  • Social individual who enjoys building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Keen to work towards targets for incentives and promotion
  • A team player looking to thrive within a fast-paced environment
  • Smart, presentable and articulate
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
